It is a common debate among the running community on the benefits of running indoors or outdoors. When I say indoor running, I am not talking about running in circles in your living room. Usually when someone refers to indoor running they are talking about exercising on the worlds most common piece of exercise equipment, the electric treadmill.

There are many good reasons to run on a treadmill instead of running outdoors. For example, if you live in a big city where there is a lot of pollution it is probably a good idea to run indoors unless you enjoy the feeling of getting light headed from inhaling car fumes. Just like with pollution, indoor running is also great for those who live in places where it is constantly raining or snowing.

One of the greatest benefits of treadmills is that they are great for those who have joint problems or those who want to avoid joint problems. If you are one of those who gets bored from running, with a treadmill you can watch your favorite television programs while you run.

On the other side of the spectrum are those who are outdoor runners. Running outdoors is crucial for anyone that would like participate in any running competitions since running on a treadmill is much different than running outdoors since treadmills are less physically strenuous because you are running in place and do not have to push off the same way as you would if running outdoors.

Running in the sun is a great way to get vitamin D which is very important to your health. For those who love the outdoors, running outdoors can make running much more entertaining. One of the downsides of running outdoors is that it can get very boring running the same route every time. To make running outdoors more exciting I recommend getting a GPS watch and switching up your route and running outdoors will become a lot more fun.

When you are looking for machines to fill out your new home gym you might want to skip the aerobic exercise machines because of their high price. Well looking for cheap treadmill can actually save you a lot of money and you will be able to get your electric treadmill with half the cost.

There are people who are setting up their own gyms in their garages or in a spare room. It can be a hard task to get enough equipment there in a satisfactory schedule since machines like this can be very expensive. It is not unusual to get your electric treadmill through lease or just look for the cheapest treadmill that there is. The first option is actually a good one since most of the companies providing such services don’t take any extra money for a payment plan but the latter can cost you your health if you are not paying attention.

Buying a cheap treadmill will be a good idea once you have read every treadmill review out there. The very first reason for something like this is that you can’t be getting a good treadmill without actually looking into it. You need to test it so don’t hesitate to ask the seller to turn it on for a moment for you to run a few miles on it. Remember that you should be very demanding on this test run as all the defects that you will notice on this short stride will be multiplied by ten when you start using your electric treadmill for hours every week. The problems are similar to what you could be finding in any kinds of mechanical equipment.

If you check out the reviews and buy a good make you can get a reasonable quality treadmill at a low price. Don’t expect many fancy features but you should be able to find one that will give you a good workout and last for a good few years. Amazon has some good deals and, if you read the reviews published there by customers you can find ones that have a good reputation and should be good quality. The Weslo Cadence C44 Treadmill sells for just under $400 and has some good reviews. You won’t get an electric treadmill that’s going to last for much less that this.

Buy the Weslo Cadence C44 Treadmill from Amazon now!

Problems that are found in cheap treadmill are actually not that common in the more expensive models. The size of the treadmill mat is important as it is of common knowledge that the most popular injury related is the result of stepping off the mat while using the treadmill. This will result in you falling or running towards the structures of the running machine or even running against the wall. You might hurt your knees or any other joints, but hitting your head is also a very possible event.

The second problem is that people are always looking for compact equipment. You need to keep in your mind that if you are in the search for a cheap treadmill you can’t demand too many other attributes. If it is a folding treadmill and still very cheap you can’t expect it to be any good. Mostly these models are shaky and feel like you are running on a weak surface. During time you will start aching in your joints since the running surface is not providing enough support to properly cushion the steps and therefore save your ankles and knees. Hip damage might also be resulted.

You might be thinking of working up a sweat while using your electric treadmill and that is not a bad way to start. There are a lot of ways to start running to efficiently to get into better shape and you might want to start out with just basic low intensity workouts, evolving later into high intensity interval running that will greatly boost your fat burning speed and keep your body functioning properly. You will also sweat quite copiously so it is a good idea to use a towel to dry out every now and then. Keep in mind that the surface where you are running is revolving so you are constantly hitting the same parts of the mat over and over again. It might get wet if you are sweating a lot so you need a model that has some kind of system to keep the belt clean and dry and many of the cheap treadmill don’t offer these specifications.
