Suppose you’ve just been to your doctor. He’s told you that you’re slightly overweight and your cholesterol numbers are up. You need to get some exercise, he says. But you live in the suburbs, with no gym nearby. You have a busy schedule, which only allows you to run at night, and it might not be safe, particularly in these hard economic times. What to do? The answer is obvious: buy an electric treadmill. But you want to get the best value for your money. What are the things you should consider before deciding which model to buy?

First, you have to determine your budget. How much can you afford to invest in an electric treadmill? Once you have a figure, you need to do some comparison shopping to get the best value for your particular price range. If you can only afford a treadmill in the budget range, then you’re in luck since treadmill manufacturers in China now produce the most affordable treadmills. Unfortunately, Chinese-made products also have a reputation for being low-quality so you should exercise caution when buying treadmills made in that country.

You also need to decide if you want to get a foldable treadmill as against a stationary treadmill. In the past, getting a folding treadmill meant sacrificing the stability of your machine. But getting a folding machine may be a must for you since you live in a small apartment. Fortunately, many folding treadmills have since improved their designs, which make them comparable to their stationary counterparts. But getting a good one may mean having to spend a little more than you had planned. You should also get a model that has at least a one year warranty on service, two years for parts and five years for the motor. You should also consider how hard the treadmill is to fold and how difficult it is to move.

As with all treadmills, you should try the folding model out by running and jumping up and down on it to see how well it absorbs the impact. You should also consider if the machine can bear the impact of your weight.
There are also the features of the electric treadmill to consider. Can you program different workouts into the machine, to vary its incline and speed? Can you adjust these from the treadmill’s console? If you plan to watch television while working out, then you should consider how noisy the treadmill is. Or if you’re a bookworm, does the machine have a book rack?

You also need to decide if an exercise bike is more suitable for you than a treadmill. Many people consider exercising on an electric stationary bike more fun than on a treadmill; thus, they are more likely to stick with their exercise routines. Many exercise bikes can be programmed to replicate different courses that require you to change pace, or seem to pedal uphill, within one workout, making routines more interesting.

Whether you choose to get a treadmill or an exercise bike, the important thing to bear in mind is to check with your doctor before engaging in any exercise program, do the exercises properly and to stick with your chosen workout, in order to maximize your health benefits.

I was looking for exercise equipment for a long time before I found out about electric treadmill fitness that was going to change my life. I have always been looking for fitness machines that would make me lose fat and gain muscle, and I ignored the fact that it would almost impossible to do those things at the same time. I also forgot that the first reason which caused me to start doing sports was to get healthy. I did not do it for superficial reasons but it had evolved in to that. It seems to be actually quite common since most of the people who start to exercise are doing it for superficial reasons. Using a treadmill for fitness or not you should aim for health benefits at first, the effect to your outlook will follow.

Starting with electric treadmill fitness I got a bit confused because I had no idea how to start. It can be an easy task to get your own equipment but it is much harder to find the right things to do with them. Besides trying to burn all the fat you can you should be aiming for cardiovascular exercises and things that can really improve your blood circulation. That is what fitness is basically all about. The fundamentals and the basics are just about trying to live as healthy of a life as possible. It can be difficult to get rid of the idea that eating healthy and eating for weight loss are two different things. This is what electric treadmill fitness is all about. Since all of your weight loss goals are going to be followed by health goals you are going to get healthy while just losing weight.

Sole treadmills can be great for people in the electric treadmill fitness scene since they make some models that are especially good for your joints. You can see these being reviewed in runner’s world magazine frequently. They provide smooth treadmills that make it easy to spend time running. For me it can be difficult to be running for a long time and the iPod dock that these machines have makes it easy for me since they are equipped with wireless bluetooth headsets that allow me to run smoothly but never get the wires tangled.

Elliptical trainer or exercise bike and treadmill fitness can be a difficult issue for many people who are elliptical or exercise bike fanatics. They tend to have a narrow image of these striders or bikes being the absolute best when it comes to exercise equipment and they don’t accept no for an answer. They are always advertising the no impact exercise that is indeed good for your joints but they are also forgetting some major issues. When it comes to fitness you should also be concerned about your bone health and non impact does not have a good effect on your bone growth. On an electric treadmill you will get the impact needed to stimulate more bone growth and if the models are good quality you you won’t suffer from excess joint stress, so you can be doing your treadmill fitness in the future without any injuries.

Getting a rowing machine might be also a good idea to substitute once in a while. You won’t get that stimulating effect from all the hits that you get from running but it is a good alternative since it works your core and back muscles like no other machine. Compact rowers can be easily folded in your bedroom closet so you are not required to have your own gym to own one of these. It would be easy to alter between rowing and doing your treadmill fitness every once in a while to get a complete workout.
